Tea Selections

North Fork 53 Purple Reign

(Loose Leaf)

Bought at the 2023 Pdx Tea Fest. An earl grey with hibiscus and blue pea flower to give it that rich purple color, but the taste itself is rather meh. The hibiscus overpowers the citrus of both the bergamont and the black tea. It also is strangely crushed, almost, leading to lots of debris in the cup that makes it through the strainer. Not my thing.
Good Earth Ginger Turmeric Lemon

(Tea Bags)

This is one of my favorites in herbal teas. Normally turmeric doesn't do it for me, & I have to be careful with cinnamon because it irritates my mouth, but everything about this tea is warm & comforting & my go-to in the evening or when I'm feeling run down.
Gohyah Tea (Bitter Melon)

brand: Dragonfly?

(tea bags)

I think I tried this...once? I bought it because, well, I'd never had it before. I think I bought it from HMart. I don't know why we hang onto it, I don't think any of us are going to finish it. It lives in the back taking up space.
Wild Raspberry Hibiscus

Stash

(tea bags)

This is just a good solid herbal. One of those teas that's nice to drink when you want something warm & you don't want caffeine. It's sold in bulk at Winco, so we get it all the time.
Peppermint

Stash

(tea bags)

Is there anything someone can say about peppermint? Uniquely? A practical tea for when your stomach hurts. I think that's all it functions as.
Sencha

Trader Joe's

(tea bags)

You'll find a lot of sencha and genmai in our pile. The tea you drink because it's always good & it's doubly good when you don't want water.
Genmaicha

Yamamotoyama

(tea bags)

I like genmai a lot.
Turmeric Green Tea

Touch Organic

(tea bags)

It's fine. I don't think I've drunk it in awhile. I should remedy that and fill this in shortly.
Meyer Lemon

Stash

(tea bags)

Another one of those herbal teas that's good when you want something tasty but not necessarily caffeinated or complex.
Mango Passionfruit

Stash

(tea bags)

This tea is very good.
Ginger

Yogi

(tea bags)

Another one of those teas that more pratical than worthy of an individual review. But it's good & we have it.
Winter Wake Up Tea

Trader Joe's

(tea bags)

I don't think I've ever drunk this. Spiced tea isn't (always) my favorite and cheap black tea is usually too astringent for me. This is probably a tea we bought for my partner, who likes the more bitter & astringent flavors.
Orangic Tulsi Holy Basil

Trader Joe's

(tea bags)

Nah. This tea belongs to my family. It's not my thing.
Organic Blood Orange Rooibos

Trader Joe's

(tea bags)

I'm not really a roobios fan. I tried to be for awhile, but I just have never been one who likes its taste. I think I need to bug my family to remember to drink this, because it's their tea.
Dame Grey

Jasmine Pearl

(tea sample)

I have been hoarding this small tea sample because Dame Grey is one of my favorite earl greys. Just that little bit extra citrus of the lemon really makes this tea. We should buy a full bag of it again.
Ginger Peach

Stash

(tea bags)

A classic. I think this is probably one of the first teas I ever drunk & it just can't go wrong.
Peach Oolong

Organics

(tea bags)

I don't remember if I've drunk this yet, if I have its been awhile. Lemme report back.
Oolong Tea

Choice

(tea bags)

I think we only have one more tea bag of this. Someone needs to drink it & I'll move it to the finished section.
